Not a good week.

So my weigh in was early this week. I’m working tomorrow until 8pm so I’m not going to be able to get to group. Bit of a shame as it’s the Greatest Loser competition this week and I think I may have been in with a shout!

Anyway, the week has been a bit of a toughie. I went out after work on Friday last week. Of course I’m surrounded by youngsters and I have to try and keep up with them. So, there was a load of beer and rum that flowed freely and there was I remember a Bacon double cheeseburger in the mix there too.

Saturday was therefore a bit of a waste and then it was on to Wenvoe for Sunday.

Mother dearest hasn’t been good for a while. She’s in a lot of pain thanks to a combination of Lupus, osteoarthritis and a curving spine. She’s been prescribed some really hefty pain killers and quite honestly they’ve knocked her bandy. As the pills weren’t really right, the next step was to have an injection in her spine to do something to the nerves in her leg.

I took her in to Llandough Hospital for 8am on Monday and waited there for six hours whilst they prepped her for this injection. Thankfully, everything went well and we were back on our way home by 2pm. It appears to have worked as I stayed overnight with her to make sure she was okay.

That did mean however that there was a lot of snacking and nibbling on biscuits. Crisps and other things just not really concentrating on the food that was being eaten. Roasting veggies and other bits and pieces of convenience didn’t help me. But I suppose I wasn’t really thinking about what I was eating. I was concentrating on the Mum and making sure that she was okay, fed and comfortable.

Tuesday evening was a visit to my friend for pancakes. She’d bought some low fat pancake mix and some sugar free syrups which were very tasty. The pancake batter was okay but not great. But we thought perhaps that they would be fairly syn free or just low syn.

I think this is probably why my weight was maintained this week. The third time this year that I’ve not lost and of course this was the week that I was going to hit my 8 stone.

I’ve not been walking either. I registered for the Race at your Pace thingy again this month. It’s not been a good start for the month here either. My mojo is slipping a bit. I think I need a bit of a kicker to get me going again.
