No Endgame

No Endgame
I was in two minds this evening. After this weekend, I needed to do a walk but Marvel have just released the latest Avengers movie; Endgame. I really need to see this movie. Not from a fear of missing out but simply cos I love Marvel Superhero Movies. Anyway, I went for a walk. ...

Easter week

Easter week
So this week has been an odd one. Foodwise, I've not been as good as I could have been. The Easter weekend saw a lovely meal out on Sunday with the Mum, a night out on Good Friday and of course there has been a bit of chocolate around. I therefore shouldn't be surprised by tonight's weigh in. I expected that the Scales of Doom might surprise me with perhaps a maintain and I'd have been very happy with that. I have been far more active this last few...

Short top loop wander

Short top loop wander
So the weather hasn't been great today. Earlier this afternoon, it was hammering down in Cardiff. I posted that I'd probably not head out for a walk today. I've done a walk every day since last Friday so I was going to miss out today. I got home and had my tea. Wednesday is as best I can, steak and potatoes day. So I had my plate full of delicious new spuds, steak and mixed veg. The rain stopped earlier so I thought I'd just go for a quick wand...

Roath Park Loop

Roath Park Loop
So another jaunt around Roath Park tonight. I was in the company of Alex this evening so that always makes the walk go a bit quicker. Another 5k on top of the weekends wanderings. The forecast isn't great weatherwise tomorrow so there may be a night off. However, if it lets up then perhaps I'll get out for another 5k. I'm looking for a maintain after the calorie laden weekend! ...

North Cardiff Figure of Eight.

North Cardiff Figure of Eight.
So another day off and a sunny, beautiful Bank Holiday. Back to work tomorrow so a bit of time to go and have another wander. This time, I was wondering how best to vary the walk, could I find a new route or attempt two of the usual routes. As it goes, it was to combine the Thornhill Lower Loop and the Thornhill Top Loop together. So it's been a 6k walk and it was needed to counteract a bit of a chocolate binge this weekend. Whilst it's not ...

The Ridgeway Walk

The Ridgeway Walk
Did this one yesterday. Unfortunately my recording thingy only got the route from the pub back to the house. However it did record the mileage and stuff. I've done this walk before now, many moons ago. It seemed a bit longer than I remember and I did take my time over it. The time includes a 15 minute pit stop at the Old Cottage Inn where I managed to pay nearly £3.00 for a Diet Pepsi. How mad is that. Nearly as much for a soft drink as it is for ...

Two down…

Two down…
So another week has passed. I was remarking to Alex on our last walk that time is just flying by. It's nearly the end of April. 1/3 of the year down already. Where does the time go? Looking back over the last few months, this weight loss lark has started to get a lot harder. They do say that the first eight stone is the easiest mind you. My loss since the start of the year has been 2st 4lbs but it's not been all plain sailing and with the Easter we...

Back on track

Back on track
So for the last few weeks, I've been a bit naughty. I've not been on plan and as a result it meant that I put on 2.5lbs. That's not good and I have been left wondering if the plan had stopped working. Was it the plan or was it me? Had I just given in to temptation and not done everything that I could have done to continue on with looking after myself and enjoy losing some weight. To be fair, I did have a good couple of weeks where events meant that...
