Target Acquired…
So, firstly an apology to Jennie. I couldn't wait for you to get back from holiday! I've been feeling a bit low again this week. Nothing I can really put my finger on again but I think the weather having turned a bit grey and dull has had an affect on my mood.  I'm convinced at the moment that things are about to go monumentally chests skywards. There's a sense of foreboding that I just can't seem to shake.  My food week hasn't been too bad. I h...

Down Again

Down Again
So tonight was weigh in and as usual, I wasn't very hopeful for good things. The weekend wasn't too bad but Saturday was a bit of a disaster foodwise. I met a friend that I'd not seen for a few years on Saturday morning. She has lost a lot of weight too and looks fantastic as a result. She came back to Cardiff for a few hours and so we had a mooch around town for a few hours.  We went to the local Spoons pub for some lunch. I had a steak pie but rath...

A Sunday Stroll and Monday Mooch.

A Sunday Stroll and Monday Mooch.
So, a couple of short walks to start the week. I'm doubtful of a good result this week so I need to push a walk each night this week.  They're just some short trips but it's a good 5 miles covered over the two trips. Sunday night was a bit of an experiment. I've lived in Thornhill for 25 years and decided that I'd explore some of the little pathways that criss cross the area. That was quite a nice little jaunt. Tonight's wander was a bi...

A bitter sweet evening

A bitter sweet evening
This evening has been a bit of an odd one really. It's been up and down. My weight was up and my mood was down, then it was up again. It really has been that sort of a night. The group were voting for their Man of the Year this evening. It's their annual event to choose the person who has inspired them through the year. I won last year after only being on the plan for a few months so thought that was a bit strange.  This year I've done the double! I ...

Another around the block.

Another around the block.
So only my second walk this week. I must admit to have been a bit down recently. Just a few little things are niggling at me at the moment. Nothing serious and that can't be overcome but it has made me a bit lazy this week. It was a nice stroll this evening. Beautiful weather and good company always lift the spirits. I'll see what I can do about getting another wander in later this week. Perhaps on Friday but it's weigh day tomorrow. I'm hoping for...

I took me boots off!

I took me boots off!
I'm struggling to think of something to write about here. I've had a fairly good week on plan but I've struggled a bit with the exercise side of the week. I've been working on late shifts this week so I've not been out wandering this week. I did get out for a short wander on Monday night but that was about it. I had a night out last Friday, Saturday and Sunday! A few late nights but only one of those was spent having a few jars. My kidneys are probably abo

Bank Holiday wanderings

Bank Holiday wanderings
So this weekend has been another UK Bank Holiday. I've been out three nights in a row and today I'm absolutely knackered. However spurred on by my good friend Fiona over Facebook messenger I decided to go for a quick wander. So the Thornhill Top Loop was chosen as a nice easy wander that wouldn't take too long but would get me out of the house and a get a mile or so under my belt. I was accompanied by The Northern Kings today. Metal cover ve...

Bit miffed.

Bit miffed.
As the old saying goes, you can't win them all. So this week has been a mixed bag of triumph and disaster. The good included my passing probation at work and not being tempted by an amazing slab of cake at the coffee house when I had my appraisal. I had a cup of tea instead! There may be a good opportunity to use my Excel skills coming up at work so I'm looking forward to the remainder of 2019 there. Very optimistic which is very unlike me. I a...

More mileage at Roath Park

More mileage at Roath Park
So there was no walk yesterday as I went to see the amazing Avengers: Endgame. What a movie that was. So this evenings wander made up a little bit for that. Only around Roath Park again so nothing too strenuous but a fair distance. Glorious weather, perhaps a bit on the chilly side today. The running packs were out in force tonight too so that added to the footsteps dodging hoards of joggers! Still, hopefully a few calories burned away. ...
