I’m back…

Bloodstock has to be one of the best, if not the best metal festival in the UK at the moment. It’s big enough to attract some big names and small enough to feel really accessible.

It’s got everything. There’s music, beer, mates and some incredible food. However, it’s not fantastic for food optimising. There are some great food stalls, everything from doughnuts to pulled pork via mac and cheese.  This does make things a bit difficult when you’re doing your best to be as good as you can for a few days.

I wasn’t as bad as I thought I would be. I certainly didn’t do a Road to Ruin and drink so much that I would pass out. I did however have a good couple of drinks but lots of food that simply wasn’t on plan.

I was away from Thursday last week hence the lack of a blog post and I didn’t weigh in so I’m not sure where I was at the end of last week. I may have lost, I may have put on but what was for sure it’s that this week, there would be a gain.

So yeah, it’s a gain and I can guarantee that if it wasn’t for three days this week, it would have been double if not treble that.

Still, we have nothing to get in the way this weekend. I’m off to a gig on Friday but will be taking the car so there’ll be diet cokes all night. That will keep me on track.

I’m hoping that I can lose three pounds this week. I need to get out of this 19st bracket. I’ve been there for months now. 14 weeks this has taken to get out of that bracket. It’s been up and down for ages.

I’m thinking perhaps that I need to start more exercise. I did go for a walk on Tuesday but that’s all I’ve done. I suppose that there was a lot of walking at Bloodstock too. Spent a lot of time on my feet and that I suppose helped.

If you know of anyone that can do me a hefty bike at a heavily reduced price, let me know! 🙂
