A little different.

This week has been a bit of an odd one. The fear of a tiny little virus has paralyzed our country.

People have been going absolutely mental. Shops have been stripped bare by idiots stockpiling chicken and toilet rolls, Pepsi Max, pasta and rice (a basic Slimming World starter kit essentially!)

My poor old diet has consisted of vegetarian chicken nuggets and Super Noodles this week. I’ve just not been able to get hold of the usuals. It’s scary that if I can’t get the basics together, how is someone like my mum able to get the things that she needs. Even an online shop isn’t guaranteed to bring her the food that she needs and she’s had to wait two weeks for the earliest delivery.

The virus has had a huge affect on our country. I genuinely thought it would be Brexit that would do for us but looks like Mother Nature had other ideas.

It’s closing schools, cinema’s and pubs. It’s closing work places and putting people out of work and it’s taking its toll on our slimmers too. So for the next few weeks, I’m not going to be able to weigh in. Officially. 🙂

This week hasn’t been too bad. I’ve spent the last two days working from home. It’s been so odd doing my job but in splendid isolation. I’m not really a fan of it. I need to be around people so to have just the cat for company is a bit unusual.

Foodwise, the weekend hasn’t been too bad. I did have an evening out on Saturday but I was good and I visited the Mum too and went for grub. I will admit to having a slab of sticky toffee pudding and custard which was frankly delish!

The rest of the week hasn’t been too bad. I’ve made a chilli and that’s seen me through the week. My lunches have been good and I’ve cut out the bread again.

There’s not been an official weigh in this week and I doubt that there will be an official one for a few weeks yet.

I weighed at home this week. My own set of scales that don’t really tally up with the official Scales of Doom. However it’s the best I can do for the next few weeks.

They suggested a 2.5lb loss this week. Now I know that it’s not very likely but I’m happy with that. 🙂

It’s going back off again and I’d be sure that the chilli is helping. I’ve been stuck in doors for most of the week. So I need to try and get a walk in some time. I’d agreed with Alex to go for a wander. That hasn’t happened! I did have a quick wander with Lauren and the gang on Sunday. That was nice but not too far.

So for the next week, quarantine isn’t going to help much but I’m sure that this will all blow over soon and we’ll be back to normal in no time.
