Lockdown: Week Thirteen.

It’s another week so time to write another rambling . They come around so quickly I really don’t know where the time has gone again. It’s been a busy but quite lazy week really.

I’ve not been for a walk for over a week. The last one was with Alex around the Taff Trail but that was ages ago. The weather hasn’t been great recently. A bit dull and grey. Not really walking weather.

Last night we had some amazing storms and it’s been raining ever since so even the thought of a walk has been very much put on hold. Maybe the weekend will be better. If it clears up then after work tomorrow.

Live scenes from Thornhill!

Food has been more or less back to normal. Evening meals are comprised of mainly boiled spuds or rice, chicken or sausages and the highlight of the week being a juicy steak on a Wednesday. What a treat!

I was bad on the weekend. A few beers on Saturday night to go with our now weekly lockdown Zoom chat and quiz. A curry on Sunday with Lauren who has been on a bit of a cooking frenzy! She made an incredible salted caramel fudge in a matter of minutes which was delicious. I had too much of that too!

I’ve not really been monitoring syns for quite a while. Not that I really counted them previously either. If I needed to be strict then I would but as I’m no longer a Slimming World member (until groups begin again) then I’ll just use my judgement! (For what that’s worth).

In seven days, I’ve lost half a pound. At the unofficial weigh in, the temporary scales of doom said half a pound. Wow! I think I could fart and lose that. 🙁

Still, like I said my week has been very sedentary thanks to the weather. I will make an effort to get out for a walk at some point between the showers.

I’ll try and remember to use my apps to track the wander and will look to put them up here or on Facebook when they happen.

Have a good week and I’ll update you next Thursday.
