Back-ish…

It’s been a few weeks since I last posted here. I apologise for not getting much posted here. I did write something a few weeks ago but didn’t post it as I haven’t really been in the best of places.

Anyway. I’m sort of back. My head isn’t in the place where it should be so the plan and my food isn’t back to where it was. In fact, I suppose I should begin with the bad news and that is that my weight has increased substantially from where I was before Mum was taken into hospital.

Bearing in mind that this was mid August (now November), I’ve gone from 19st 7lbs to 21st 2lbs. So bloody disappointed with myself. I’ve ballsed up magnificently there haven’t I.

I’m not going to perform an autopsy on the last two and a half months. Needless to say, I have completely ignored the plan and I’ve eaten what I want to eat.

Moving forward

The house isn’t yet on the market but I’ve had a bit of interest already from Wenvoe residents. I’m hopeful that the house won’t be long on the market.

The Mum is now settled into her care home. The real work is beginning now and every day something else seems to creep up. Getting an EPC done tomorrow, then some photos on Tuesday. Thursday rings a bell but I can’t remember what’s happening then!

I then have to start clearing stuff. I’ve put a few things on eBay today and there has been a bit of interest in a couple of the items but they won’t go for a fortune. A nice paperweight and some salt and pepper pots. A hand bell and a glass bowl. I’ll probably end up car booting stuff and will be asking for help with that if anyone can.

Future stuff?

I’ve decided to buy a bike. My employer has a great Cycle to Work scheme that gives some great discounts on bikes. It’s a rental agreement for 18 months but it’s tax free and that really helps.

I know that we’re coming into winter and perhaps a bike isn’t the best thing to do but whilst I have been out walking, it’s at a fairly slow pace. I hope that having a bike will allow me to raise my heart rate and give me a better form of exercise for the same amount of time.

I hope that I’ll be back in Thornhill for a very different sort of Christmas this year.
