Week One.

As with most people in the UK, Cardiff has recently been plunged into a mini ice-age with three days of snow falling from the skies. The result being that my first group session had to be cancelled by the consultant. 🙁

My first week on the plan has been a bit of a struggle if I’m honest. I can’t quite grab the concept of healthy extras, a & b. How do I lose weight when I’m eating such massive portions of food? What is speed food and how can I eat this when I don’t really like most of the items on the list?

My week has been one of confusion and not really understanding the plan. I was convinced that I would have put on more weight given what I was chucking down my gullet!

Saturday came and the thaw had started to kick in. It was still snowing and bitterly cold but our Consultant had managed to get a small part of the hall available just to weigh.

I stood on the scales and looked at the digital readout. It didn’t really register with me at first. 28st 3lbs (Yes, I know). I’d lost 8.5lbs as was pointed out, that’s 17 blocks of butter.

So I’m clearly doing something right!
