This week has seen the last of my music festivals for the year. Sad time that there’s not much to look forward to in September.
Clearly with the exception of The Caerphilly Cheese, Florence Black, Brettstock, Star Wars in the Cinema and a trip to Scotland next month!
So, last week was all about the misleadingly titled Beermageddon.

A New Week.
I suppose that through reading the blog, you’ll notice that my determination and will power has all but left me over the last few months.
My start to the week saw me complete a couple of Slimming World’s S.A.S. logs and to be fair, that did give me a bit of an insight to what I was stuffing down. They helped me manage my food and for me, it was far better than using the app.
So Wednesday and Thursday were very much on plan. I was well within my syns limit for the day and was noting exactly what I was eating, when I was eating it.
Then it was time to head to Beermageddon. Three days camping at what I thought was going to be a beer and metal festival. I got 50% of that right though. There was beer and there was metal but it was not as I had imagined a great craft ale bonanza. No, it’s called Beermageddon after the founder Jim Beerman!
To be fair, there was beer but not the vast range that I had imagined like at the VIP tent in Bloodstock! However, the beer was good, the metal was good and the weather (despite a torrent on Saturday morning) was good too.
Three days however of beer and festival food / pub grub was never going to be good for “the plan”.
The tale of the scale.

So, after a day or so back home and another fairly decent day as on plan as I could be, it was time to head to the World of Slim and another step onto the Scales of Doom.
Thanks to my really decent fun weekend then I was expecting to gain yet again this week. My best case scenario was that I would maintain last weeks weight and not go up.
Thankfully, the scales registered a maintain and that was something of a relief. The decent days before going away probably helped with that so while it could have been much worse, it wasn’t bad and I’m rather happy with that.
Next week.
This next week shouldn’t be too bad. I don’t have very much to contend with this week and as such, I’ll complete a few more of the SAS logs.
I am going to the Caerphilly Cheese festival on Saturday which will be a bit of fun. I’m not going to drink as I’ll be taking the car over. I will perhaps park up at my friends house and walk over to the event. It is likely that there will be some loverly grub but I’ll do my utmost to chose the better options.
With this in mind, I’m hopeful that next weeks weigh in will result in a loss. God knows that I need a good few weeks and to be a couple of pounds lighter.
Wish me luck.
