Good evening my lovely reader. It’s another week down and it’s been an okayish sort of week.
It’s the first week since the end of July that I’ve not got a huge rock music festival to look forward to.
There was a festival but it was more about food and local producers than the music. Of course, there were some bands so it wasn’t completely without music but there was a huge amount of food that just had to be sampled!
The festival was The Caerphilly Cheese Festival that’s been running for quite a few years to be told. However I’m sure that it was again like Beermageddon, contravening the Trades Description Act. The only cheese I saw was on my baked potato!
However, it was a very good weekend, spent with some of my favourite people.

The week before.
I have made an effort this week with the world of slim’s plan. I have had a few walks this week. The Thornhill Mile has become the Thornhill Mile and a half! I have also done some batch cooking too.
One of my incredible spagbols and a pretty delicious cottage pie with sweet potato mash. Must admit that I’m a sucker for a cottage pie. That maybe the plan for tomorrow again then!
What with the walking at The Cheese then I certainly hope that it has given me a little bit of an impetus to continue the walking and the fairly healthy eating.
The tale of the scale.

So after a fairly decent week, I was hoping for good things at the scales of doom. Thankfully I wasn’t disappointed as the scales registered a three pound loss.
Very pleased with that and it’s heading back in the right direction.
Another good week and I’ll be right back on track.
Next week.
So, lets hope that the next week can be as good as last week was. There’s not much that will throw me off track but there is the small matter of Brettstock 5 this weekend.
It’s the annual Brett bash, when our good friend opens up his garden to a load of rock mates. The garden comes equipped with firepits and a giant screen. Brett usually comes equipped with gallons of Frosty Jack Cider!
It’s always a good day but I do have to think about how I’m going to tackle it. I have traditionally driven and given lifts back to the gang. Food is usually burgers or hotdogs and usually quite a bit of junk. However if I can plan it well and keep on walking then I think that I can have another good week.
Wish me luck.
