October’s nearly done.

I feel that I need to apologise to you my dear reader.

Last week was a bit of a whingefest. I suppose that I’d had a fairly difficult few weeks and it has all really got a bit much for me. I think it was noticed when we went on teams for our “fun” half hour this afternoon.

I’ve said for a long time that I need to move on and do something different and it’s getting to that point now that Customer Services is no longer for me!

Last week

I did try and keep a log of what happened in the last week.

I doubt that there’s much that I can publish here to be honest. The week starts on Wednesday as usual. Last week I reflected on the gain that I had at SW. I think my expectations after my last weight loss attempt is massively high. If anything, my weight isn’t going anywhere but it has been remarked on a number of occasions that I am changing shape.

Most of the week wasn’t too bad to be fair. I did take a few hours for a walk at Bazra Island. The tide was right up to the sea wall and I’ve never seen that before. There was a silent disco being held under the pavillion at the end of the promenade and it was quite funny to see the waves splash some of the folks dancing away apparently to nothing!

I did have a slice of birthday cake on Thursday and then on Friday there was an afternoon out at the Department Awards. A three course meal with bread, soup, roast chicken, roast veg and a very tasty cheesecake.

I did drive to the Awards and was home by seven. Plenty of time to sit and watch the F1 Practice and Sprint Qualifying from Texas.

Saturday was a quiet one. I was due to go out to a gig in the evening but instead thought that I wasn’t really that interested in the gig. I had bought a ticket but knew that I’d drive and just not have such a good time.

I did go for a wander on Saturday afternoon. Just along the Thornhill South Loop. It didn’t take too long to complete the loop but it was a good 2.5 miles.

Sunday was a roast chicken dinner with loads of veg. Spuds, parsnips, carrots, peas, sweet potato and butternut squash. I do a mean roast chicken! Stuffing too but no yorkshires!

The tale of the scale.

So, I felt that I had a good week. There were a couple of slip ups. Chocolate birthday cake and Cheesecake. I did also have some cheese footballs that I didn’t find last christmas! I’ve had my fill now so won’t bother with them now until next year.

I wasn’t overly optimistic for a loss but had hoped that there may be a slight drop this week.

Thankfully, I did manage to lose. I lost the 1.5lbs that I had put on last week. So again it’s a small amount off.

Just back to three pounds to three stone. I’m aiming for three by Christmas so lets get it done.

Next time…

Of course, there are a few obstacles in the way. There always are.

This week sees a trip to that there London. I’m off to see the amazing Lacuna Coil in concert at The Roundhouse in Camden. There will be beers and probably some fantastic grub but with any luck, it will be countered by lots of steps.

Anyway. Thanks again for coming back after last weeks little whingefest.
I’ll let you know how it goes next week. 🙂

Phil.
