Good evening friends.
Not a great week this week to be fair. I’ve lost a small amount of control over the grub this week. A bit of a nightmare with my foot that seems to be getting worse.
It is hindering my walking. I managed two walks last week and that’s not been good enough to help me out. This plantar fasciitis (if that is what it is) is now doing my head in. Everyone I’ve spoken to who has experienced it says that it can take months to clear up and that’s not a good thing, especially when it seems to have been proven to me that walking is definitely helping with the weight loss.
I didn’t get out to walk on Wednesday. I went to B&M for some more curry sauce mix and should have gone over to the reservoir for a tootle. I’d left it a bit late to do that but again should have headed somewhere else for a walk.
Thursday
An extremely sad day today.
Anyone who knows me knows that my real first love is Formula One. It is the only thing that has kept my absolute interest over the last 40 years or so.
One of the characters from the years that I have followed the sport was Eddie Jordan. He created one of the most legendary teams ever to grace the F1 Grid and allowed me to attend Silverstone Test Sessions as a member of the press when I ran Jordan Fans Online at the turn of the century!

A time that I will absolutely cherish and never forget. Thank you Eddie. Rest in Peace.

The weekend
A short walk on Friday to get to Sainsburys. Okay it was a two miler when the shop is just two minutes away normally!
Saturday was a Grand Prix Sprint race and Qualifying early in the morning and then out for the afternoon to Gabor’s 18th Anniversary Celebration at his home in Treforest.
A good alcohol free afternoon / evening where others were drinking and Gabor made a batch of his infamous Goulash!
Sunday was a bit of a lazy day. I wanted to watch the Chinese Grand Prix. I was awake at 5:30am to watch the coverage and fell asleep just after the start! I woke up just as Oscar Piastri crossed the line to win.
I did catch up with the race in the evening whilst cooking my Sunday lunch.
The tale of the scale.

I wasn’t overly happy with myself over the last week.
I hadn’t been walking as much as I had been and I’ve not been magnificent as far as my food has been concerned.
I’d bought some goodies during my trip to B&M on Wednesday and those perhaps could have been better. Lots of skinny whip bars that I could have left on the shelves.
So unsurprisingly this week was a 1lb gain.
A bit disappointed but I think that I know where I went a bit wrong!
Next time…
I’ll try to be as good as I can this week, however I may struggle as I’m heading North to go an see Alex for the weekend.
We’re planning to go out in the van for an evening on Saturday so a pub meal is not likely to be out of the question. It’s Mothers Day on Sunday so we’re booked out for lunch with Alex’s mum on Sunday too.
I will not be able to put flowers down for my mum on Sunday but as I have Monday and Tuesday off then I’ll go to Wenvoe on Tuesday afternoon to put some flowers down for her.
As far as food is concerned then I doubt that it’s going to be any better than last week but I hope that the walking will do me good. I really hope that my foot will hold up.
