12/06/25 – Mid Point 2025!

Evening all. It’s my new day of the week to post my updates and I’m getting used to the change of group and consultant. To be honest, she’s not at bad as I remember her from a few years ago.

So, what happened last week then? Well, not an awful lot to be honest. Friday was nothing so there was a bit of F1 Free Practice for the Spanish GP to watch but that was probably about as exciting as it got!

Saturday was a bit better. My employer had there bi-annual celebration in the Principality Stadium. A party that started at 4pm and went through to 10:30. I has a cracking time and really didn’t expect to.

The entertainment was quite brilliant in fact. There was an ABBA tribute act Bjorn Again, Blue, the 90’s boyband and Mel C from the Spice Girls. She was absolutely fantastic. Always thought that she was the only one with any real talent!

A few hours on my feet watching the bands and meeting loads of people that I’ve known over the years, not just with my current employer was really good. A chap that I grew up with on the same street in Dinas Powys and a good mate from the CL days.

I did have a few pints and a bit of food but I was home by 11pm and had a decent nights kip.

Not up too late on Sunday. Headed to Sainsbugs for a chicken to roast for dins. That did me for a main meal on Sunday and then a curry on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday was in the Office. The weather wasn’t great so I didn’t get out for a walk through town but I did head up to Sports Direct to see if I could find an ankle brace cos my foot was in utter agony. After wandered round the whole store and being directed to the top floor I eventually found one near the tills on the ground floor!

It has really helped. My foot has been a nightmare recently so I’m quite please with that. Not bad for £6.

Tuesday was again an office day. Again, the weather was not good so I stayed in the office for the day but there was a bit of movement and some steps to take.

Wednesday was my half day. The weather was a bit better to be fair and I managed to get the grass mown in the back. I also went for a swim in the evening again. It’s classed as a Swim for Fitness session and that was why I was there but there was a group of three people who seemed to treat it as a fun swim and that did miff me off a bit to be fair.

Still, I manage 44 lengths again in 45 minutes of swimming so that wasn’t bad and again I’m really enjoying floating about in a body of water!

The Tale of the Scale.

So, the graph as you can see is still on the way down. This week I managed a 2lb loss. That’s the best that I’ve managed in a couple of months. I’ve lost the gain that I had when I started at the new group. I’m a bit chuffed by that and I hope that I can repeat that feat next week.

It sounds like the swimming is starting to pay off and there is a little more movement having to go to the office twice a week now. Hopefully it will give me a little boost and will help in the future.

Next Week.

It won’t get off to the best of starts as I have our department afternoon out. This does tend to include some grub and a little bit of booze. I may however look to get on the Guinness Zero to save a few syns.

The rest of the weekend should be okay as there’s bugger all planned. It’s the Canadian GP this weekend and that is always a great race, especially if there’s a bit of moisture in the air.

Food wise, I have plenty of stuff in the freezer so I’ll not need to do a shop until I run out of cat food! I will go and get a Chicken on Sunday but that’s all that I need.

Lets hope that the next week will bring another loss.

Wish me luck.
