What a magnificent week it’s been. Spending time in Scotland with Alex is always a massive pleasure and this last week has been nothing short of spectacular.
Visiting her is always a good time. Lots to eat and drink and lots of walking. 10,000 steps a day was very doable and we did over that on a number of occasions, however the eating was a bit of a disaster!
Meal’s out, full scottish breakfasts, superb fish ‘n chips, ice cream and a roast beef dinner to die for were all on the menu and I was having it all.
Hopefully you’ve seen the pics from the trip over on the book of face.
As a result, you can guess that this weeks weigh in was never going to be a good one.
The tale ooft the scale.

This week was a 5.5lb gain. That’s over 11lbs put back on in just over seven weeks. I’ve had a great few weeks but the will power has completely disappeared. I have very little idea how to get this back on plan.
A suggestion as to where to start is speaking to a doctor about Mounjaro. I must admit that I’m not happy with the idea of weight loss jabs. While I know that they work and can assist, they’re not a long term solution.
The World of Slim does work but only if you’re in the headspace and I need to regain that mindset again.
This week…
So, there’s not much that’s going to give me a problem this week. I’m off out on Saturday night but I will drive so won’t be drinking. I’ll also ensure that I eat before I go out so that I’m not tempted by pub grub.
I also need to get a walk in. I was doing so well and really need to get back into the swing of the walk. I’ll book a swim and need to get brave and try to get to the gym.
I will also look to measure my food and keep an eye on my syns. I’ll keep a log of what I’ve eaten and will look to ensure that it’s on plan. I need to review my intake of speed food and review what I can do to add some to every meal.
Let’s see if I can’t lose at least three of this weeks gain by this time next week.
Wish me luck.
