Paradise found

This week has been a fairly decent one but I’m still having a bit of a nightmare workwise. I’m sure that the powers that be will realise fairly soon that the issues are preventing us properly servicing our customers.

However, after a nasty gain last week, it was time to try and knuckle down to get a loss this week.

Friday was another hard day in work. Lead me to leaving work late again and then trying to switch off. I managed to get a bit of sleep but was awake at 3am on Saturday morning. I decided that I’d watch some telly to see if I could drop back off to sleep.

I turned on the BBC iPlayer and decided to watch The Celebrity Traitors. Must admit that I’m absolutely hooked! Alan Carr is hilarious. I did eventually get to sleep but it took a few hours.

The weekend.

I was having a bit of a down day on Saturday. All I wanted was to sit and play computer games. I was cajoled into going for a walk.

I decided to get my arse in gear and head out for a wander. I walked from the house to Llanishen Reservoir. One lap of the reservoir and then back to the house. A wander of just under 4 miles.

I didn’t feel to bad but my poor old back started playing up but only at about 3.5 miles. That was so much better.

Sunday was a quite on. I headed to Sainsburys for some grub for my roast dinner. Did a good little walk and a nice loop from the house around to the shop.

Monday I decided to go for a swim. I was out on Wednesday so I was going to miss my swim at Maindy so I thought I’d have a dip at Llanishen Leisure Centre.

I’d never been there before so I was a bit nervous about going but I did enjoy it once I was there. It’s very different to Maindy Pool so I should be able to go twice a week at the two different pools.

Tuesday came an went. Another busy day in the office, then on to Wednesday.

Wednesday was a trip to Bristol to see Paradise Lost. Such a wonderful band. We got there at about 3.30 or so. Had a little bit of grub and then over to the venue to see the gig.

Met up with a load of mates that had made the trip from all parts of the country and the gig was absolutely stunning.

The Tale of the Scale.

So, I’ve not been great this week. At the weekend, boredom got the better of me so of course I stuffed my face.

However, stepping on the Scales of Doom I was quite pleased to register a slight loss. Only 1.5lbs but it’s a loss and a loss is a loss.

Next Week

I start the week off with another gig. The second in three days. This time it’s a doozy. The ultimate party band Skindred touring in some unusual little venues.

We’re having then a full day in Tenby, planning a few beers and some cracking grub. Hopefully there will be a good amount of walking around exploring the town and the castle.

I’ll get myself wandering again and am planning two swims next week. I hope that will give me another loss next week too.

Wish me luck.
