A new week and already the middle of the month. January started with a massive gain and it really gave me a shock.
I don’t think that it’s surprising that a gain was on the cards but I knew that I would need to be on my best behaviour in the next few weeks.
That would be quite tricky as within a few days I’d be out celebrating my friends 50th Birthday. I needed to be as good as I could be.
The weekend
It was a fantastic evening. She’d never had a birthday party before so she was going to go all out and she did amazingly well. A gothic themed, Phantom of the Opera affair.

We had a few beers and some food at the Hotel prior to getting ready and then off to the venue for a lovely party and some additional buffet.
Sunday morning and only a very slight hangover, we stopped for breakfast at the Cedar Tree Farm in the bay for a bit of breakfast. That did keep me going for the rest of the day to be fair.
The Week
Monday was back to the office and I tried to book a swim in the evening. I’d left it too late so had to book it for Tuesday.
It did however give me some time to do some cooking! I did my mahoosive chilli. I had an Iceland delivery on the previous Friday so I needed to make some room in the freezer for the shopping!
I left work on Monday evening and needed to get some chillies, garlic and a red pepper. Small Tesco stores visited with the garlic and red pepper secured. No chillies! A short trip to Sainsbury’s and £20 lighter then chilli time.
I haven’t made a chilli in ages and it’s really nice to get back in to the swing of the world of slim.
Tuesday was a poor day in work. I forgot my close up glasses so spent the morning squinting at the screen. I got to lunch and had to head home to change my specs!
A decent swim in the evening helped my pretty low mental health. My job is not great at the moment and I do know that things will get better but at the moment, it’s a tough job cleaning up after other peoples mess and being shouted at by angry Audi owners.
The tale of the scale.

A pretty good week to be fair. Six pounds on last week and five off this.
Quite a pleasing week. Despite fish and chips last weekend, I’m starting to believe that it is absolutely possible to get this weight back off.
Next week.
I have a couple of evenings out in the next day or two. Off to a gig tomorrow night and then Flight Club on Saturday.
I will drive to the gig tomorrow and won’t stay out too long. I’m undecided for Saturday. A good evening should see me with a second loss next week but again, I may look to drive.
There may be some Guinness Zero consumed and I will look to stay away from some deep fried chicken and chips by the end of the night.
If I canget four pounds off next week then I’ll be extremely happy.
Wish me luck.
