Easter eater.

Another week down and time for another weigh in.

It feels like it’s been a long old week this week, despite there having been a four day weekend!

Things have been quite slow this week but with the Easter weekend and plethora of chocolate and hot cross buns in the shops then it was always going to be a difficult one.

I went for my swim after group last Thursday and that was probably as much as I could muster over the weekend.

Friday was a bit of a lazy day as was most of Saturday. I hardly moved and spent most of the day sat in front of the PlayStation.

Saturday was again much of the same, but I did get out to town to go and see the magnificent Gnome at Clwb Ifor Bach.

That was accompanied by one or two beers but not overly much. It was a late one going well into the early hours of Sunday morning but let’s face it, I enjoyed it.

Easter Sunday was a nice day too. That was punctuated by a magnificent roast lamb dinner and a bit of Easter choccy.

Monday was a bit quieter and again it was cold meat and chips (air-fried potatoes). I had some left over veggies from the roast dinner so had a bubble and squeak earlier in the day and it was a bit of a wasted day again. It was a lovely day and I should have gone out for a walk.

Tuesday was back to the office so I was up at six am for the bus at seven. Work has been a bit easier as the problem with the phones wasn’t yet resolved. So we were able to try and get some of the older work completed.

I had a baked spud with beans and cheese, then went out for a brief walk through town.

I went to the pool in the evening and did another few lengths towards my challenge. Another 64 widths completed.

Wednesday was an early finish from work and Mandy visited. She’s recovering well from her operation and had just been to the hospital.

We went for a walk around the reservoirs and trudged around Sainsburys as she wanted some new clobber for her return to work. So I got some steps in.

The tale of the whale…

So another two swims down. Tuesday’s swim was a bit slower as Captain Slow was in the lane just keeping his head above water. I had to keep stopping to give him time to get to the other side of the pool and still beating him to the wall.

Anyway, I completed swim six this evening. I’m ahead of schedule and now a quarter of the way across the channel!

The tale of the scale.

Not the best of weeks diet wise however. 1.5lbs on this week which considering it’s been Easter Weekend then I think that it could have been far worse. I had worried that it may have been double that but I’m pleased that it wasn’t bad.

I’m not sure if the swimming is helping. I’m certainly not losing any weight through doing it but maybe my shape is changing. Do I feel healthier? Not much but I’ve started buying apples again!

Next week.

Tomorrow should be a good day. There’s no plan for the evening. I’m working but will be the only member of the team available so I envisage a busy day. I’ll be happy to shut the computer down at the end of the day!

Saturday is going to be the killer thought. I’m off to watch Wales v Scotland Women’s International on Saturday evening. I’ll be in town from about 3pm so I’ll need to be careful of the drinks and potential grub.

Sunday will be quite but it’s likely that there may be a hangover to struggle with. If the weather is good then I will get the Marshall’s on and go out and do the Thornhill South Loop.

Work Monday to Wednesday and then on Thursday next week, there will be no Slimming World. I’m off to see Skindred for the first of five times this year. And the best news is that Alex is visiting next weekend so I know that I’ll be off plan for another few days!

I will see you in a few weeks.
