October

Another week gone again and it has been quite a quiet one again. I had the laziest of weekends that you could possibly imagine.

However, sometimes that is exactly what you need. Just a weekend off with the brain in neutral. Telly, PS5 and tucked up under the warmest blanket in the house.

No temptations, no beers, just hours of No Man’s Sky.

As October begins, my thoughts start to turn towards my old mum. This year it will be four years without her. I suppose it’s five really but since she passed, it will be four. I miss her every day but Tuesday will be a very sad day, the combination of her passing, the loss of Ozzy and of course my birthday.

Thanks Beth.

I will always mourn for my mother but as time passes it will get easier.

The rest of the week has been a rather normal week. Work hasn’t been as bad. I’m getting more used to the new system but it is to the detriment of my role and the work that I need to concentrate on. I’m taking more than my fair share of calls but they’re coming in from all over the shop.

I had a nice early finish on Tuesday. Still took ’til 5pm to get home though. Still a two hour break off the phones was much needed.

Wednesday was my early finish. I just pottered about until 8 and then headed down to Maindy for my swim. It’s been thirteen weeks there and last night and while there were a few more people in the pool, I’ve decided that I’m not going to aim for improving the lengths count.

Just so long as I’m moving then I’m happy to spent 40-50 minutes in the pool.

The Tale of the Scale.

So, a good week has given me a good week on the scales again. 3lbs off this week which is very pleasing.

Considering that I’m going out this weekend, I needed a good week. I’m aiming for a maintain next week so hopefully a good few days after a hefty weekend should see me fine to get to where I need to be.

Next Week.

Saturday is going to be my first proper drink since I went to Scotland. To be fair, I didn’t have a huge amount when I went there. A few cans here and there but no huge sessions this time out.

I hope that I won’t get too wasted but it will be a good night. I’ll make sure that I have some scoff before hand but I’m looking forward to a nice stout or two at Tiny Rebel.

There may be a meal on my birthday and I will be making the annual pilgrimage to Wenvoe on Wednesday to put some flowers down for Mum. (I’m working on Tuesday so it will be a late one).

I’m hopeful that I won’t do too much damage and I hope for more better days then bad.
