Flippin heck it’s February!

This year is absolutely flying by. We’re now into the second month of the year and that’s getting really scary now! It seems to be accelerating and before you know it, it will be festival season again.

At least compared to the last few years, this year does appear to be opening up. It starts with a trip to Leeds to see a gig that I’ve been waiting two years to see. I’ve booked in for three festivals this year and I’m losing track of the other gigs that I’ve got lined up.

My top two bands play Cardiff this year. Rammstein and The Pet Shop Boys are going to be epic. I’d love to go and see Simple Minds in April but I’d not have anyone to go with for that one. That would make it an awesome year of gigs.

Probate is progressing. I’ve been advised that the application should be reviewed by the weekend and that’s the next step to getting things sorted out. Mum’s legacy can then be sorted out but it’s still going to take some time. I’m looking forward to getting it all done and resolving the financial side of things.  and start to plan for the future.

The restrictions in Wales have been lifted. There are still certain area’s of life where masks are required like in shops and on public transport. However hospitality has been lifted. Masks and the “Rule of Six” have gone so being in town means that we can socialise again. It’s great to be around people again.

Of course, there are still challenges! My weekend evening out was fun. I drove to town and drank diet coke all night, while my mates were less than sober! My evening was very nice but it was a late one again. It’s not the hangovers that I suffer with after a night out, it’s the plain out and out tiredness that kicks my butt these days!

Still at 52, a 4am finish isn’t that bad!

The tale of the scale…

I have been good this week, honest guv. I did have a little slip with some amazing grub from The Grand Bar and Kitchen on Westgate Street but it was just the one meal out of 21.

Most days, I have been in my syns limit and while I’ve had the odd slip up, I’ve had a good week in general.

Last week was a maintain. This week it was a 1.5lb loss which I am very happy about. I know it’s not much but if I can maintain a loss like this each week then it will soon mount up and my god will I feel much better about myself and more motivated to keep it up, and pursue that loss.

I’m hopeful that the Gym will be opening soon and that I can try to get there to see if that will help me get to where I want to be.

The plan…

This next week should be mostly on plan. The weekend will be a bit tricky as I’m off on a road trip for a couple of days. As I’m doing the driving, I’ll try and remain as sober as possible, however this I cannot promise!

Still on the run up to the weekend I do promise to do my best to stay on plan. Food will be a bit hit and miss on Saturday and Sunday is likely to end up in a carvery lunch on the way home from Leeds.

I’ve said that I expect to go in with a maintain next week and I hope that I am absolutely able to stick to is and possibly even come in with a small loss.

Anyhooo! Have a good week lovely peeps and thanks for taking the time to read again.
