Miles better.

Hello everyone! As per my previous posts, it’s Tuesday yet again and as per my usual introduction where the hell is that time gone. So last week was pretty good. I did my utmost to stay on plan and for the most part you know, I think I succeeded!

In the last seven days, I didn’t touch a drop of alcohol. I had one single packet of crisps on Saturday evening and I’ve done a lot of walks. The weather thankfully wasn’t too bad last week but its closed in a bit today. I’ve been much better at watching what I’ve been putting in my face!

I’m not sure that I feel any different though. My belt doesn’t feel as though it’s any looser and neither do my t-shirts so I’m not sure if my efforts this week have made a difference but I suppose mentally it’s getting easier to get off my arse and out of the house to go for a walk.

I’ve tried to walk every day since last weeks weigh-in. I’ve managed to do the Thornhill Mile a few times (it’s now the Thornhill 1.2 miles with a slight detour!)  I did a walk to Cefn-Onn Parc on Wednesday which was a good three miles and a Ghost Walk around Wellington in Somerset on Saturday. It was a bit stop and start but we covered about two miles during the walk.

The tale of the scale.

So at group tonight, I was a bit apprehensive about standing on the good old scales of doom.

I thought that I’d done well and the scales confirmed that I had. They registered a full 5lb loss.

I’m so chuffed with that. Especially as it was the walking that gave me that boost of a loss.

I will try to keep it going and will look to walk the mile and further over the next few days. Hopefully this will help me before I go away on Friday.

Next week on Fatboy Slimmer.

The next few weeks are going to be very difficult. I’m heading off to London to see the mighty Skindred in concert at Wembley Arena. That is going to be epic. However there will no doubt be a few beers and some incredible grub on the menu.

There will be a few miles on foot over the weekend so that should certainly assist, however the plan no doubt includes finding a pub that will be showing the Wales v Italy game on Saturday. I will try my hardest to watch the beers and to try and alternate it with some fizzy pop in between the beer.

Anyway. Thanks for letting me waste five minutes of your precious day.

Phil.
