Not fab.

Hello, it’s Tuesday yet again. Another one (yes, I know they come around very quickly!) I’ve no idea where the last week has gone but it’s just again flown by and I really don’t know of where I am from one day to the next to be fair.

So how was your week? My week wasn’t fantastic. I did have quite a busy week to be fair I just didn’t do what I should have done on plan and that will become apparent when I get to the tale of this scale. My week was very very off plan. I had lots of various different things to eat, mainly crisps, hot cross buns and bits of chocolate that really just threw me off plan. I just didn’t give it my all and I needed to do so again this week.

Friday was a bit of fun. I did have a good night at Fuel on Friday night.  There was a band called Hawxx playing the first night of their tour. They were rather good and I drove so I didn’t drink which always helps or at least I thought it might always help.

Saturday was a a pretty poor day to be fair. Most of the day was alright. There was the first Grand Prix of the season on Saturday.  I watched the race and then went out for a couple of beers with my old mate to watch Cardiff Rugby play Leinster.

It was a good game. Cardiff lost but so did I a bit. It was beer after beer after beer then during the game it was about three or four pints during the game and then after the game another five or six pints plus a couple of rums. and yeah I think that was probably a major part of my downfall this week but my snacking throughout the week and during the days has had got a bit out of hand to be fair and I I need to take more care with what I’m doing and what I’m eating full stop.

I think that what I really need to do is to try and be more mentally resilliant and to say no more often to temptation. Perhaps start doing more online grocery shopping so that I stop picking up the snacks.

The Tale of the Scale.

So, this weeks tale of the scale is not a good one. A fantastic 4lb loss last week turned into a 2.5lb gain this week.

After the last week then I’m not surprised and expected that there would be a gain. I must admit that I’ve not been feeling a bit low this last week or so. And you know me. When I feel low I look for comfort in food.

That has definitely been me this last week. I’ve scoffed and that has set me back again.

Next week on Fatboy Slimmer.

Next week on Fatboy Slimmer, I’ve got a good couple of days to try and get some walks in. There’s nothing going on this weekend that could damage my attempt at losing 3 lbs this week. I’m off to Exeter  on Saturday to go and see Rosie and Roger for a couple of hours and then I’m going to go to Wellington to see Fiona.

We’re doing a ghost walk around Wellington on Saturday evening so that will be good. I’m sure that Fi will take me for a couple of short walks during the few hours that I spend with her. I need to take some of the beers that I have here for her fella. I’m sure he’ll enjoy them.

I’m looking to drop about 3lbs – 4lbs over the next week and I do think that I have a good chance to get there this week.

The weeks after that are definitely gain weeks. I’ll be going to a gig in London and then on our amazing trip to Scotland at the end of the month.

I really hope that I can lift the mood, avoid the snacking and stay off the booze as much as I can.

Ah well. Thanks for reading my piffle again.
