Not a good one.

This week has not been a very good one on the food front. Friday after work, I went to a gig in Newport and whilst I did have a beer, most of the night was spent with a diet coke in my hand. It was a good night but it was the beginning of quite a tiring few days.

Saturday was a visit out to the Mum. Holly the dog hasn’t been too well recently so we had to take her to the vet for a checkup. She’s got a bad leg which may or may not be arthritic so after her check, we went to the local Beefeater for a spot of lunch.

I just really wanted fish ‘n chips. So like anyone I had fish ‘n chips. Now, I could have had a steak and a baked potato but a bit like the spud I am, I had to go for the deep fried fish. To top it off, I also had a banging pud too. 

Still, as there was another gig to go to. I thought that I might be able to get away with it. Again, I spent the night with a gallon of diet cola and didn’t eat anything else. I had a very late night and got home at about 4.30am! 

Sunday was not great. I went to the movies with my friend and her children. An enjoyable few hours but there were some chocolates and marshmallows involved. 

Monday night and another gig. This time however I did have a drink or three. I’d been in work and just felt that I needed a beer. It was the last bus home but it had been enough time to get quite squiffy.

Tuesday was predictably a complete waste of a day but it was definitely needed. I slept right through until midday. So tired! I should have used the time and gone for a walk in the afternoon but there was no way I was going to leave the house let alone get under the shower! So very lazy!

I did get out for a wander last night but that’s about as much as I’ve done this week.

So it was no wonder that the Scales of Doom (or should that be Judgement) registered a 2.5lb gain this week. Not the worst gain that I’ve had but slightly deflated by it. I knew that I had put on and I am not surprised. I’m pleased to be honest that it was only two and a half. It should have been four.

So what’s going to destroy me this week? Well, I think that I can shift the weight again. I have an evening out tomorrow but I’m driving again so I’ll not be drinking. No plans for bad food over the weekend and next week, I’ll be back on the chilli for lunch. I hope that I can bring it back.
