Week One. (Again.)

So, Slimming World weigh in number one and the jury says not guilty. A couple of pounds off this week would have been quite nice and the scales of doom had good news for me.

The first week is always a good one. My last time I lost 8lbs in my first week but then I did have a lot more to lose back then. This time it wasn’t so good but I have still lost 5.5lbs this week.

It’s thanks to all the walking that Fiona had me doing at the weekend. I’m so lucky to have a friend who is full of idea’s and common sense. If anyone is going to inspire me then it’s Fi. She is such a remarkable woman and still in her thirties! She is a small business owner, a published author and just one of my very favourite people. We spent the weekend just talking and laughing. It was so fantastic to see her.

Group

It’s a new group for me at Danescourt. The consultant Jill is one that I knew. She covered Jennie a few times in Thornhill and ran a morning group so if I was on a late shift then I’d go to her group in Lisvane.

It’s nice to have a good consultant. There have been a few in the past that were just there to get the money but Jill will be good and hopefully my new Jennie!

The best news was that Alex was back and joined me in group tonight. 

The Mum.

Things aren’t great there at the moment. Her concentration is really bad. They need to watch her to ensure that she’s eating and the doctor has been out to see her again as she’s lost more weight. They’ll be referring her to a Dietician and the Occupational Therapy Team will also visit to see what else she needs as the may need some support with her neck to keep her head up. 

I’m not keen on the way things seem to be going and I’ve not seen her for a few weeks. I hope to get a visit on the weekend and will see her then but I hope that she’s in a better state than she has been for the last few weeks. 

Next week then…

So the plan for the next week is pretty samey! Foodwise, I’ll be doing more than just the usual. Lots of free foods and I hope that I can add some speed food every now and again to the meals. I’ve just made a nice half syn meatball type stew. That’ll do two meals. I’ve bought some Hi-Fi bars this week so will see how I get on with them.

So it’s a good start. I’ll do my best to keep walking and getting those steps in. 2lbs next week for my half stone award!
