Guess who’s back?

I’ve decided to bite the bullet and have taken myself back to the World of Slim. Groups are open again and one of the Consultants that I knew from the last time runs a group that opens at 7pm.

It’s a good 15 minute drive away from home and possible this time next year a 30 minute cycle in Danescourt but it’s a small sacrifice to make for what will be one of the best decisions I’ll make this year.

Jill is a good consultant and she was very welcoming. The group is a bit small but it was her first 7pm group since lockdown was lifted. There were only seven people in the group and it was a bit quiet as four of us were new starters / re-starters. I hope that the group gets bigger and that more people will attend.

I’ve paid up for six weeks in advance and had a voucher for free membership so it’s only cost £30 this week up to mid-October. I’ll not need to worry about that for a few weeks now. There’s a freebie with it too which will be good.

It’s a start.

So my start weight is where I though it was going to be. I left Slimming World in March 2020 and it’s 18 months along the line. In that time I’ve managed to put around four stone on. So I’ve set my target weight at 19st.

I felt okay at that weight although looking back at some photos, I’m not sure that I was comfortable there. My body image and my mind had me thinking that it wasn’t me in the photos. It looked like me but it wasn’t the fat pudgy bastard that I had got used to.

Anyway, the deed has been done and I hope that I’ll be able to make the most of it and get myself back into the groove.

The weekend.

This weekend will be a good one. I’m going to visit my lovely friend Fiona down in Somerset. I’m going to make the most of my visit with her. I’ll go down early on Saturday so that I can spend some time. We’ll be walking a few miles over the weekend so I hope that my back stays okay.

She’s suggested that I look to get some physiotherapy for it so will look to get it done when I can afford to spend some money on it.

I’m going to take my camera with me so I can take a load of photo’s. It’s a lovely part of the world and there are plenty of places to take some snaps.

Fiona has lost a lot of weight too so I think our food will be good and I hope that it will give me a good boost to start the first week.

Anyway. I will let you know in a week!
