First of many disappointments.

Another week down and it’s not been the best of weeks for me, certainly foodwise. It’s been a bit poor really. I think I’m letting myself down by over synning on a regular basis. Crisps are my absolute downfall and I’ve been really bad with the little bits that will always sneak in.

Cheese on a spag bol. A bit of garlic bread, A Gu pud, packs of French Fries and a bit of beer and a barbeque will probably have contributed to this weeks result. I didn’t buy any Hi-Fi bars at last weeks weigh in. I think a pile of those may have kept me a bit more honest. I also need to look to track my food on the App.

Had a gig on Thursday night up at The Patriot again for Phil Campbell. He’s featured quite a lot recently on here! I was being quite good as I was driving. I did have a couple of Guinness 0.0’s at 3.5syns each. That may have bumped up the syns for the day.

Saturday was Brettstock IV. A party at my mates house. This involved beer, sausage rolls, barbeque and beer. A great day out with loads of mates and some fantastic music, loads of fireworks too.

Massively lucky with the weather. It was an absolute scorcher which as so lucky and only Brett could have timed it so well! The party was announced months ago and what with the summer we’ve had it could have been a complete washout!

Walkies

Wednesday, I had a good wander with Alex. We did 4.14 miles around the Taff Trail and what’s left of the Glamorganshire Canal. Took us 1hr 40m to do it but it was a good wander. Had a good old natter.

The tale of the scale

So, you can probably guess that this is where the disappointment comes in to it. My complete lack of consideration has given me my first gain of this campaign.

It was only a pound on but it was a bit rough when I was feeling that I had maybe lost something.

This week has bunged me up somewhat too. (I know, TMI!) but I had a really bad night on Friday into Saturday. That did impact Brettstock. I’m going to have a week of these for breakfast to try and keep things going.

This weeks musical obsession is

You’re really going to like this, especially if your name is Lauren Parslow!

Still to come on Fatboy Slimmer…

This next week is pretty special. I’m heading off on a big adventure to spend a few days with my very good friend Alex (no not that one) in Falkirk. Flying off on Thursday afternoon to return on Sunday night.

I’m hoping for a lot of sightseeing. Looking forward to seeing the Kelpies. I’ve always wanted to see them. The Falkirk Wheel is also one of those impressive structures that I’m looking forward to. We may also get to see some of the Scottish Highlands with a trip to Glencoe.

With any luck, there will be enough walking to stave off the weight gain but I’m thinking that there will be a couple of lovely meals out and a bit of booze.

Anyway, that’s the week ahead. Thanks for reading. See you next week.
