No no no November!

It’s the first weigh in of a new month. Jebus, it’s November already. That’s just bonkers!

This last week has been a good one. I did have a few blips where alcohol and food were concerned though. A good couple of days since the last weigh in where I was absolutely gutted with a gain. Then came Friday and Saturday.

Friday was my team afternoon. We headed to Swansea to meet up with some of the other teams and have a bit of a get together. Founders & Co was our destination. An interesting venue with a bar and some street food vendors. A few pints and an amazing Naanwich (I thought the menu said Nantwich!) with spicy pulled beef and fries that had a coconut and garlic powder over them. Wow!!

Founders & Co.

Saturday was another day on the lash. I had tickets to the Wales v Barbarians game at the Pricipality Stadium. What a fantastic game of rugby. I’m a big fan of Barbarians style of play. Rather than kick the ball away, they tend to keep hold of the ball and run it. It’s great to watch them play and they do tend to kick other teams arses!

However, on this occasion, Wales had the better game and ran out winners. It was great to see Lee Halfpenny’s final game in a Welsh shirt and Alan Wyn Jones squaring up against Wales.

The day involved quite a bit of Guinness and rum. We coupled it with some more amazing food from La Pantera. Nachos with cheese and salsa, then some pulled beef Tacos that were utterly delicious. It was a bit of an early night though.

The tale of the scale…

So again as in previous weeks, I was expecting another gain after what happened on the scales last week. There was going to be another three pounds on, especially after the food on Saturday.

As it happens, the scales of doom registered a loss. Only 1.5lbs but it’s half of last weeks gain lost.

I’m still aiming for that two stone by the time that I go to Edinburgh at the end of the year. Another pound or two next week will be absolutely fantastic.

And now for something completely different.

What’s on Phil’s Spotify playlist this week then?

Fury Weekend. A bit of synthwave excellence. Loving this remix.

Next time on Fatboy Slimmer…

It has the potential to be a difficult week. There are lots of things happening which usually means alcohol and food.

I have two concerts to attend this week. Empire State Bastard on Thursday evening and then the mighty and unstoppable Skindred on Friday night. Benjii is doing a DJ set in Fuel after the gig so that promises to be a late one.

Saturday is another afternoon / evening out with Firebrand at Flight Club. That will be a great day out as Flight Club is always a good laugh. Play darts, drink and enjoy!

So the plan at the moment is to drive to the gigs and then have the afternoon on Saturday. If I drive then I know that I won’t be drinking so that’s going to save a few syns.

Will see how that plan works out then!

Thanks as always for your company on this longest of journeys.
