Mission Accomplished.

It’s another week and it’s the last week before we begin our Christmas celebrations (No, not  the chocolates!) Christmas is the really nasty time of the year to be on plan with Slimming World. Absolutely everything that will be shoved in front of me over the next week will not be good.

Mince pies, chocolates, alcohol and some absolutely fantastic food will be presented to me over the next few days. I will try my best to be as good as I possibly can be but I’m fairly certain that there will be a hefty gain at next week’s weigh in!

So far, apart from Saturday night and Sunday, I’ve been quite good. I have scrummed a couple of biscuits down but then old me would have had an entire pack in minutes and hoovered them up like they weren’t there. I at least took my time and had them over a couple of days not hours or minutes like I would have had normally!

Lifesaver alert!

These things have been an absolute life saver from Iceland, they are. Pre-cooked chicken skewers and they’re ruddy delicious! They’re 3 for 10 quid and have four in a pack. They’ve got loads of different flavours, hoisin, chicken satay flavour, barbecue flavour.

There’s a really spicy flavour to and they are fabulous they’re about one or two syns at most for a skewer. So for a pack of four, a maximum of eight sins for the pack. Now being my size, I get 30 syns a day so a pack of those for my lunch have been absolute lifesavers. They are delicious and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

The Tale of the Scale.

So after a couple of days scoffing away, I felt like I may have done something okay this week.

As I stepped on the scale I was rewarded by a 3lb loss. THREE POUNDS… How the heck did I do that? Surely after the weekends shenanigans it should have been a three pound gain!!

However, it was a loss and not only that, it got me across the 2 stone barrier. It’s taken me since August to lose that second stone what with one thing and another it has taken some time but I was determined to hit that mark before Christmas.

Mission Accomplished!

And Now for Something Completely Different…

I’ve been utterly obsessed recently with the possibility of a volcanic eruption in Iceland. Finally last night, the magma broke the surface and fountains of lava poured out onto the face of Iceland. I’ve spent hours watching the video! I love the power of the planet and how it reminds us every now and again who is actually in charge!

Don’t think I can say much more than that! It will be me putting the three pound loss back on, plus some more no doubt.

I’ll do my best up until the big day on Monday. A few more days on the best plan that I can be but then Christmas Day and Boxing Day I may take a bit of a tumble!!

Next week’s blog will be delayed by a day or two and then I’m off to Scotland so if I don’t get to write my blog next week then I will be back.

Anyhoo, have an amazing Christmas dear readers. I will be back very soon and thanks again for taking the time to read my whittering! 🙂
