Pancake panic

So while the start of the month didn’t go of so badly, the last week has been very hit an miss where the World of Slim is concerned.

I started okay for a few days but did find myself slipping and by Friday I had cracked and needed some comfort food.

While I didn’t go all out and get the planned Fintans Fish Supper, I did have a beer, some crisps and chocolate. It really wasn’t a great start to a weekend that foodwise at least wasn’t brilliant.

Saturday was a day full of rugby, beer and rock music. An afternoon watching the Welsh keep up with the English for most of the game, losing by just two points. The afternoon involved Fuel Rock Club which always will involve alcohol of some sort.

A few beers and then it was over to The Tramshed to watch the amazing Florence Black. On the way from Fuel to the venue, there was a Greggs chicken bake and a doughnut. There were a few beers in The Tramshed and then it was back over to Fuel to round the night off.  That may have involved some fried chicken ‘n chips afterwards too.

Sunday flippin’ Sunday.

Oh my did I have a hangover on Sunday. I didn’t think that I had drunk much on Saturday night and it may have just been a bit of dehydration but I had an absolute rager!

I did however try to keep food down to a minimum syn level! Roast Chicken dinner, spuds, carrots, parsnips and a bit of stuffing wasn’t to bad.

I managed a short walk along the Thornhill Mile on Monday evening. It had to be a fairly short walk. I’ve had a pair of Doc Martin’s boots for about two years. I’m yet to break them in so will be wearing them when I can get out and walking short distances. Hopefully as time goes on then they’ll be easier on the old plates of meat!

The tale of the scale.

This weeks group was a bit quiet again. Tuesday’s 7pm group is never really that busy. It was quite busy just after New Year but that has slowed down.

I wasn’t expecting a loss this week. I wasn’t disappointed then when the scales registered a gain. Up 0.5lbs so not much and it could have just been water retention but it was a gain. 🙁

Not the best week on plan so I will need to do more for the remaining days of the week.

Next week.

When I was asked what I wanted to lose this week I opted for a maintain. I’ll be very happy with that considering the week and weekend that I have coming up.

Out tomorrow night for a Toby which will be delish. I will be good and I won’t go king size! It’ll be lots of veggies and I will try to go for an hour’s walk before I go for food.

Friday see’s another gig at The Tramshed. Chris Jericho’s band Fozzy are playing with some support from a great little band called The Hot Damn. That promises to be a good night and I WILL drive to this one. If I do that then I know that I won’t drink. That will save a good few syns and calories which I will probably need to save for Saturday.

There’s no rugby on this weekend. The International’s are taking a break so there won’t be the crowds in Cardiff. However, there is the annual Beer and Cider festival in the Student Union’s Great Hall at the University.

Last year was a good event but the day wasn’t great so this year is a time to celebrate some people who are no longer with us but very much remembered.

I’ll try my best to be good but another weekend and not stopping again. A walk on Sunday will be nice and I hope that I can go for a walk with Alex later in the week.

Fingers crossed on the maintain then.
