February starter

Sorry for the delay with an update today. It was a long day yesterday and was pretty tired by the end of it. I couldn’t face writing my blog and had an early night after Slimming World. 

It’s been a fairly good week. Admittedly not an awful lot has happened! I did go out on Saturday for the rugby. I managed to get a ticket for the game through work again which was pretty sweet. The game was fabulous with a bit up and down! Even though we lost, we still put in a massive effort in the second half and I was very pleased with the way that Wales came back in the second-half funny. If only they played like that in the first half we’d have won it by a mile.

Otherwise it had been a fairly quiet week foodwise. The rugby wasn’t good as there was quite a bit of Guinness consumed over the day but the rest of the week was quite okay.

The Tale of the Scale.

Given the quantity of Guinness drunk by myself on Saturday, coupled with a bit of Fried Chicken and Chips, I wasn’t expecting miracles again when I got to the scales of doom last night.

Thankfully they registered a 1.5lb loss. That’s been 6.5lbs lost this year so far. Close on half a stone which I do hope to attain next week.

If I can do that then I’ll move down into the next stone bracket too. That will be a great boost for me as we move out of the winter and into spring.

The better weather should get me out of the house walking again.

Next week

I hope not to do too much damage this weekend. I’m going for a two pound loss this week so I better get out for a wander at some point over the next few days.

Saturday night will include a great gig. Florence Black have just released a cracking new album called Bed of Nails. They’re doing a show at The Tramshed on Saturday. There will be rugby on the telly so I’ll watch that first and then head to the gig. It’ll be an absolute corker.

As for the rest of the week well, I went to Iceland today for a shed load of their chicken skewers. I bought a few Slimming World meals to microwave at lunchtime. 

I can’t see much going wrong this week unless I get a bit squiffy on Saturday night! 

Anyway. I’ll give it a go and will let you know how I do. 🙂
