Lifesavers

Frozen veg. Simple and cheap. 

I’ve never been much of a veg person. I love to have them roasted with a Sunday lunch. I suppose that there has been a certain amount of lazyness in the past. It’s a pain to have to peel and prepare them for cooking. Having said that, I will do it! 

Meanwhile, to go with my chilli an easy way to add the veggies is to use frozen. So my first lifesaver nominations are:

Steamed Microwave Rice.

Just three or so minutes in the microwave, then added to the chilli and voila, chilli and rice. 

For some extra protein and speed foods then why not add a couple of handfuls of mixed veg.

A couple of handfuls added to your meal give a bit more food on the plate and of course, it’s free on Slimming World.
