Sorry for the late post although it does bring me back to my old Thursday posting rotation! The weeks are flying by again and we’re just nine days away from the big one.

I will admit to having been Xmas grub shopping. I’ve put all of the goodies away in a box in the kitchen and have sworn not to open it until Christmas Eve. Although I may have started on a box of Heroes!

It’s not been the best of weeks for food and while I have attempted to be good, it’s seems to be the little incidentals that have let me down. When I say that though, I don’t mean the piles of Christmas choccies. I mean the little things that perhaps I should stop eating like gravy on my roast dinner or my lovely curry sauce.

I’m also finding it difficult to eat speed food. These are foods that are very low in calories but tend to fill you up. You’re supposed to add lots of this to your plate but I’m finding it tricky to add these to my meals.

I think I need to not give up, that’s the wrong thing to do but to enjoy the next couple of weeks and hell, if I need to start again after Christmas and New Year then I suppose that’s where I need to be.

We laid mum’s ashes in St Mary’s Church yard on Saturday morning. It was nice to see Kath and Sandra. Paula and Clivey came to see her off too. It was a damp drizzly day but just like her funeral, the weather lifted for a short while. She was watching. 🙂

The tale of the scale.

Tuesday was a quiet one at the World of Slim. There were only six of us at the group and it does amaze me that Jill still keeps the group going. It really can’t be worth the time and the money that she spends on it.

However this weeks weigh in was another loss but only half a pound again. That’s a total loss of 3.5lbs for the last three weeks. It’s a bit disappointing but I know that I’m not putting as much effort in as I was just before mum’s death. I’m only half way to what I had lost prior to that time and still a way off getting myself down to the giddy lows of 2019.

I don’t think that this time of the year is really the right time to attempt to diet but look, I’ll do what I can but there are no promises over the next few weeks.

Anyway…

On to more important matters! It’s nearly time to ditch the Toyota and look to replace it with something a bit more up to date. I’ve been looking at Jeep Renegades and saw three the other day. Finally got to sit in one and wow, what a lovely place to be.

These are the three I saw. (Just looking at the moment). I got to sit in two of them. The white one had the nicest interior of the two. The yellow one isn’t as nice inside but it is yellow! I like the look of the red one but they couldn’t find the key for me to sit in it. I love the look of the grille on the it though. I’d also need to check out how they drive too but I think I’ve found the car I’m going for once probate is sorted out.

Well, we’ll see how things go over the next few weeks. Once everything is sorted out then I’ll look to replace the oddest car I’ve driven but I have never really liked. I’ll not be sad to see the back of it.

Any thoughts on it??

Thanks again for reading.
Love as always,

Phil.
