Happy Birthday’s all round.

Good evening and thanks for tuning in again. What a very different change in the weather. It’s been so cold out there and it’s made me really just want to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and my lovely fleecy blanket.  I don’t want to go outside and walk. Even if it’s along the Thornhill Mile, not in this weather, you must be mad!

It was a fairly good week last week. I’m lying a bit I did go for a couple of short walks. I was going to post the walks here but didn’t get around to it. I did post them on Facebook though. Only a couple of fairly shortish walks but they were walks!

I suppose I’ve not been too bad this week. I’ve tried to stick within my daily syns but failed miserably on a couple of occasions; mainly Friday and Saturday but the rest of the week hasn’t been too bad. Sunday I was so very hungover! I stayed in bed until at least 1pm and I was hankering for a McDonald’s.  I resisted and made a roast chicken dinner instead. That saved a few syns!

Saturday

An early start on Saturday afternoon. Out to the pub for a quick half, then over to what’s beginning to be a favourite venue in Cardiff; Flight Club. Darts and beer. What more could anyone want?!

We were celebrating a couple of birthdays. Alex’s birthday, Andy, Gemma and Lindsay were all celebrating being January babies.

We went to Brewdog after Flight Club for a few more beers and some grub. Then over to The Queen’s Vaults for a couple more.

Finally it was over to Fuel Rock Club for a few more brewski’s and a good old fashioned rock out. Leaving Fuel at about 3am home and bed by 4am!

I have never been so hungover in my life though. I was so going to have a Maccies but managed to resist! I am so proud of myself!

The Tale of the Scale

So given Saturday’s shenanigans, I was not expecting to have a loss this week or at least if it was then maybe a pound or so would have been absolutely fine. I would have been quite happy with that but as it happens, the scales of doom registered a whole four pounds off.

I’m not sure how I’ve done that to be fair. I think it may have been a bit of a Slimming World Woosh which I think may have may have helped expel a lot of fluid. They say (and I don’t know if there is any truth in it but the fat cells get filled with fluid until they can’t hold any more. It is then expelled and that’s where the weight loss comes in). I may expect another in about six weeks or so. But I was very, very pleased indeed with this week’s loss.

Next time on Fatboy Slimmer

So it’s a new Slimming World week. I’ve got gig on Saturday night in town. I may leave it a bit later to go in and perhaps will drive so that I’m only tired on Sunday rather than hungover and tired!! I’ll be on the diet cokes and after last weekend, I don’t really fancy a huge amount to drink!

I will definitely try and be as good as I possibly can be. I’m trying to log my food on the Slimming World app. It gives me an idea of the syns I’m eating and potentially the weight loss. We’ll see how it goes and if I do drive then nothing else is going to get in the way. Fingers crossed it will be a good week and next time who knows it maybe another 4lbs off.  Two or three would be very nice.

Thank you for taking the time to read my little blog again. Have a great week and I’ll see you next time.
